Both could reliably create the temperatures of as much as 1300 °C or more wanted for porcelain. Inside the late Ming, the egg-formed kiln or zhenyao was designed at Jingdezhen and largely utilised there. This was something of the compromise involving the other sorts, and offered locations in the firing chamber with a range of firing disorders.[10
